Key Verses:
“And he said to the people of Israel, “When your children ask their fathers in times to come, ‘What do these stones mean?’ then you shall let your children know, ‘Israel passed over this Jordan on dry ground.’ For the Lord your God dried up the waters of the Jordan for you until you passed over, as the Lord your God did to the Red Sea, which he dried up for us until we passed over, so that all the peoples of the earth may know that the hand of the Lord is mighty, that you may fear the Lord your God forever.” – Joshua 4:21-24
Central Theme:
Share your stones (your testimony) with others so that they see God’s grace, love, and power through you.
In Joshua 4, God tells Joshua and his people to leaves stones where the priests were standing as a memorial so that when their children asked, they could recall the story of God’s wonders. We all have our own personal stories of how Christ changed us and performed wonders in our lives. These stories are meant to be shared! Our testimonies are great ways to share the Gospel. It’s living proof of the all-knowing, all-powerful, and LIVING God! It is also a great reminder of God’s faithfulness to remember the stones in our own lives, especially during tough times.
